New Designated Ports of Entry Encouraged for First Time Canadian TN and L Applicants

September 16, 2014

U.S. Customs and Boarder Protection has announced that, effective immediately, it has designated fourteen ports of entry (POEs) for “optimized processing” for first-time Canadian TN and L applicants seeking entry into the U.S. under NAFTA. While submitting applications at these ports is by no means mandatory, the CBP implies that these designated ports will have better trained adjudicators which will result in more consistent and fair adjudications. Click here for a complete list of these optimized ports and their hours of operation.
