Premium Processing Fee to Increase to $1,410 Starting October 1

August 31, 2018

The fee for Form I-907 requesting premium processing will increase from $1,225 to $1,410, effective October 1, 2018 according to a final rule published in the Federal Register today.

Earlier this week, the USCIS announced that premium processing for fiscal year 2019 H-1B cap petitions will remain suspended until February 19, 2019, and will be suspended for certain other H-1B petitions from September 11, 2018 to February 19, 2019.

Cases still eligible for premium processing after September include H-1B extensions of stay where there is no change in employment or employer, H-1Bs for cap-exempt employers, I-140s, L-1s and O-1s.

Under premium processing, once a petitioner files Form I-907 and pays the fee, the USCIS must either approve, deny or issue a request for evidence (RFE) on the petition within 15 calendar days, or return the fee.

The new $1,410 fee will take effect October 1, 2018. Any requests for premium processing filed on or after that date must pay the new fee.
